Dangote Cement has reported a sharp increase in profits, strengthening its financial position as Nigeria’s largest cement producer prepares for a potential London Stock Exchange listing.
The company’s profit after tax rose 31.2% to $714 million in the nine months to September 2026, up from approximately $544 million a year earlier. Revenue increased 19.6% to $2.77 billion, supported by stronger business performance.
Profit before tax climbed 41.5% to approximately $1.08 billion, helped by a significant reduction in finance costs as the company cut its debt.
Nigeria remained the group’s main earnings driver, while its operations elsewhere in Africa faced profitability challenges.
The results come as Dangote Cement prepares for a planned London listing that could raise about $1 billion through a secondary share sale, potentially opening the company to a broader pool of international investors.
The proposed listing would mark a step for Africa’s largest cement producer as it seeks greater access to global capital markets.
However, its ability to sustain profit growth while managing rising distribution costs and expanding across the continent will remain important considerations for investors.
