Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has warned the public against four Telegram groups accused of soliciting investment funds without following legally required procedures.
In notices published on October 25, 2026, the regulator added AminaElFarouK, EGX VIP INVESTMENT, Dr Hager Tarek and Dr Mariam proof to its public warning list, citing violations of Law No. 146 of 1988, which governs companies involved in receiving funds for investment.
The warnings concern advertisements inviting members of the public to contribute money to investment activities outside the required legal framework. The FRA issued separate notices identifying each group and its Telegram channel.
The move shows a growing regulatory scrutiny of investment solicitations on digital platforms, where unverified offers can expose individuals to financial losses.
The authority maintains a public warning platform covering unauthorised non-banking financial activities and urges the public to report suspicious investment offers through its whistleblowing channel.
